The functions of the Postgraduate Association of China-EU School of Law
Representing the rights and interests of all students in our school, providing services in various aspects such as study, life and work practice for Chinese students, listening to students' voices, and promptly meeting their legitimate and reasonable demands. When the demands exceed the association's authority, they should be reported to the school. Externally, it should play the role of a bridge and link, cooperate with the school's teachers to do a good job in communication and coordination, and ensure smooth information exchange between students and the school. It should also provide guarantees for the school to fully understand the dynamic needs of students and promptly introduce solutions. At the same time, the association should strengthen communication and cooperation with the postgraduate associations of other schools in our university and other higher education institutions, attach importance to the connection with social groups and research units, and strive to provide opportunities and platforms for all students' extracurricular learning and practice.
The organizational structure of the Postgraduate Association of China-EU School of Law includes the executive committee and various functional departments.
The association has four functional departments: the Administrative and Publicity Department, the Academic Affairs Promotion Department, the Cultural and Sports Activities Department, and the Volunteer Service Department. There are three members in the executive committee, and each department has one to three members in the departmental executive committee.
The executive committee adopts a collective responsibility system.
The executive committee is responsible for the overall operation of the association, leading and supervising the work of each department, and communicating and coordinating with the school. The division of labor among the members of the executive committee is discussed collectively by the members of the executive committee and announced to all students on campus.
The specific functions of each department
(1) Administrative and Publicity Department: Mainly responsible for the administrative affairs of the association, including financial budgeting and execution, record-keeping of important meetings, and assisting in the annual departmental assessment. It also undertakes the publicity function of the association and is responsible for external publicity work.
(2) Academic Affairs Promotion Department: Mainly responsible for organizing and planning academic, employment, and student affairs-related activities of the school, such as the "Jinliang Lecture Hall" series of lectures and the "Career Path · Splendid Departure" series of lectures.
(3) Cultural and Sports Activities Department: Mainly responsible for organizing and preparing sports and cultural activities of the school, such as organizing and planning cultural and sports activities of the school, such as badminton casual matches, sunny hikes, fun sports meetings, and cultural evenings.
(4) Volunteer Service Department: Mainly responsible for organizing volunteer services for important activities of the school and planning and holding public welfare volunteer activities with the characteristics of China-EU School of Law, and providing corresponding training and logistical support services for volunteers.
Each department has a clear division of labor and well-defined responsibilities. Under the unified leadership of the presidium, they cooperate with each other to build the postgraduate student union of our college into an organic whole, maximizing the role of serving students. We strive to build the China-EU School of Law into an international legal learning platform and a cultural exchange base that combines Chinese and Western elements.
