Zurab Gvelesiani is lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Hamburg, and a visiting lecturer at Ilia State University, at the University of Georgia and at Alte University. In June 2018 Zurab earned a PHD degree (Summa Cum Laude) in International Business Law at Central European University. As a visiting researcher Zurab did semester-long research at the Amsterdam Centre for European Law and Governance (ACELG) at the University of Amsterdam in 2016. He received a LL.M. degree in European Law from Stockholm University and another LL.M. degree in Jurisprudence from Ivane Javakhisvili Tbilisi State University. Zurab has 15 years of experience, working in private, academic and civil sectors. He is also a member of the Georgian Bar Association and has extensive litigation experience.
