Miklós Király

Professor at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE)


Miklós Király is Professor at the School of Law of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest. He is head of the Department of Private International Law and European Economic Law, School of Law at ELTE. Dr. Király was adviser of the President of the Republic of Hungary (2001-2005), Dean of ELTE, School of Law (2008-2016), Member of the EU Expert Group on a Common Frame of Reference in the area of European Contract Law (2010-2014), Member of the European Law Institute (ELI) (2011- ), Member of ELI Council (2013- 2021), Member of the Governing Council of UNIDROIT, Rome (2014-2018) and Member of ICSID Panel of Conciliators (2014-2017). Dr. Király taught the following courses: Law of the European Union (EU Jean Monnet Program), Law of International Economic Relations, Private International Law, Arbitration, Harmonization of Contract Law, Protection of Foreign Investments – Multinational Enterprises, etc. Dr. Király is visiting professor at the Postgraduate School of Economics and International Relations (Sacred Heart Catholic University Milan, Italy) (2003-2024) and in Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár) (University of Babes-Bólyai, Romania) (2017-2024).
