Piotr Szwedo

Associate professor at Jagiellonian University


Piotr Szwedo is a is an associate professor (dr. habil.) in the Department of Public International Law and Head of OKSPO Center for Foreign Law Schools, both at Jagiellonian University (JU) in Krakow. He also codirects law programs in cooperation with Catholic University of America and Université d’Orléans. He published in Polish, English and French about international economic law, EU law, comparative law with Journal of World Trade, International Journal of Constitutional Law, Catholic University Law Review, Max Planck Encyclopedia of Public International Law, Brill, Mare et Martin, DJØF, Wolters Kluwer Polska et al. As a visiting professor Piotr Szwedo taught international law at University of Orléans, Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, University of Nantes, University of Marburg, University of Kobe, University of Macerata, Slovakian Academy of Sciences (Autumn Program in Piešťany) and China-EU School of Law (Beijing). He was elected “Student’s Friend” (Przyjaciel Studenta) - award granted by JU students’ community (2018) and granted Chevalier of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques by French Government in 2015.
