​Zhu Weiyi

Professor of Law at the China University of Political Science and Law


Prof. Zhu Weiyi is a Professor of Law at the China University of Political Science and Law. His research and teaching focus on Securities Law. He was a Research Fellow at the China Securities Regulatory Commission from 2003 to 2010 and a Legal Counsel from 1997 to 2003. From 1995 to 1997, he worked as an Associate at the Beijing Jun He Law Office and from 1990 to 1992, he was a Translator at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna, Austria. Zhu Weiyi was also a Third Secretary in the Legal Department of the Foreign Ministry of China between 1988 and 1990 and an Attaché at the Chinese Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, USA, from 1986 to 1987. Moreover, he gained experience as a Lecturer in the English Department of Nanjing University, PRC, from 1982 to 1984 and as a Worker at the Nanjing No. 2 Motor Factory. Zhu Weiyi obtained a J.D. in Law at Columbia University in 1995 and completed his graduate studies of the United Nations Simultaneous Interpretation Training Program at the Beijing Foreign Studies University in 1986.
