Zurab Gvelesiani

Assistant Professor at the China-EU School of Law


Zurab Gvelesiani is an Assistant Professor at the China-EU School of Law. He holds a S.J.D. (PhD) in International Business Law at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, Hungary, comparing EU and Georgian Competition Law. Previously, Zurab worked for law firms in Georgia und Hungary and served as a lawyer for Transparency International Georgia. He has litigation experience in Administrativeand Civil Law, including in cases before the Supreme Court of Georgia. From 2011 to 2013, he was a Lecturer in Law at Ilia State University in Tblisi, Georgia, and at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Zurab holds an LL.M. degree in Jurisprudence from Ivane Javakhisvili Tbilisi State University as well as an LL.M. degree in European Law from Stockholm University, Sweden.
