Christina Simmig

Research Assistant at Universität Hamburg


Christina Simmig is a Research Assistant at the Institute for International Affairs at Universität Hamburg and a joint PhD candidate co-enrolled at Universität Hamburg and Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. In her thesis, she focuses on the field of International Disaster Law and Human Rights Law. Previously, Christina graduated in law from Universität Hamburg, where she was a member of the 2013-14 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition team and has been involved in the coaching of the teams ever since, especially in 2017 in the international rounds in Washington D.C., USA. In 2011, she completed the “Chinese Law Taught in English” course at the China-EU School of Law. In the 2018 Spring Semester, Christina will be a tutor for the Moot Court and Arbitration classes.
