Prof. Bernard Tilleman is a Full Professor, Dean of the Law Faculty of KU Leuven, and Director of the Institute for Methodology of Law and of the Institute of Contract law at the University of Leuven, Belgium. He studied at Leuven, Harvard Law School and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. Bernard worked at the office of the Belgian Prime Minister and as an attorney at the Brussels Office of Cleary-Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. He also is an attorney at the New York Bar. Bernard was a Visiting Professor at the Universities of Lille II in France, Liège in Belgium and Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Moreover, he is President of the Examination Board of the Belgian Institute of Chartered Accountants, member of the Legal Advisory Board of the Belgian Institute of Auditors and Vice President of the Dutch speaking commission for nomination of bailiffs. At the China-EU School of Law he teaches CISG.
