Andreas Orator

Assistant Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business


Dr Andreas Orator has worked at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition in Brussels, Belgium, and as an Associate for Schoenherr Attorneys at Law in Vienna, Austria. Since 2012, he is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for European and International Law at Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria. His research focuses on EU Constitutional and Administrative Law, Austrian Constitutional Law, Austrian Regulatory and Public Business Law and Global Administrative Law. Andreas obtained a PhD summa cum laude from the University of Vienna in 2012. He analysed “The prospects of and limits to establishing EU agencies”. He also holds a master’s degree in Law and a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in Political Science from the University of Vienna, Austria, an LL.M. degree in International Legal Studies from New York University, USA, and a Diploma from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, France, also known as Sciences Po. At the China-EU School of Law, Andreas teaches Legal Foundations of EU Law and European Political Systems.
