Sarah Hayes

Teaching Assistant at the China-EU School of Law


Sarah Hayes is a Teaching Assistant at the China-EU School of Law in the fields of Public International Law, European Union Law and European Business Law. She is currently finalising her PhD at the University of Strasbourg, France, examining large-scale arable land acquisitions and leases under the supervision of Professor Syméon Karagiannis. Her research focuses on Human Rights, International Investment Law, Land Governance and International Law related to Natural Resources Management. Sarah previously taught at the University of Orleans, France, and has conducted research at VU Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She also gained work experience in NGOs, in the legal departments of corporate groups and in law firms. Sarah studied law at the University of Strasbourg and the University of Helsinki, Finland. She holds a master's degree in International Public Law from the University of Strasbourg.
