​Michael Bogdan

Professor of Law at Lund University


Prof. Michael Bogdan is a Senior Professor of Comparative and Private International Law at the Law Faculty of Lund University in Lund, Sweden. He holds a JUDr. degree from the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, and B.A., LL.M. and jur.dr. degrees from Lund University. His previous positions were Professor of Private Law and International Trade Law from 1985 to 1995, Associate Professor of International Law from 1978 to 1984, Assistant Professor of Law from 1976 to 1978, and Research Assistant from 1975 to 1976, all at Lund University. He is a member and former President of the “Groupe européen de droit international privé” (GEDIP), honorary member of the International Academy of Comparative Law and full member of the “Institut de droit international”. He is the author of 12 books and more than 400 articles and reviews on various legal subjects. At the China-EU School of Law, Michael teaches Conflict of Laws within the European and International Law Master’s programme.
