After two months of the intense preparations, the CESL Vis Team consisting of Meng Fanqin, Que Linyao, Liu Qianning, Liu Renhao, Zhao Min and Tian Yu had the chance to confront itself with the other teams and argue before the distinguished arbitrators from both China and abroad. This year’s competition witnessed teams from the top Chinese law schools and the CESL Vis Team successfully argued against the teams from Fuzhou University, Guandong University of Foreign Studies, Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade and Sun Yat-sen University.
"CIETAC Cup was a great practice platform for the CESL Vis Team in the course of preparation to take part in the main Vis Moot competition in April in Hong Kong. Fingers crossed!”, Assistant Professor Monika Prusinowska who coaches the team with Professor Susan-Gale Wintermuth said.
CIETAC established the CIETAC Cup in 2000 in order to helptrain China’s future international arbitration professionals. Since then, CIETAC has successfully hosted 14 moots which attracted over 2000 students from nearly 100 well-known universities in China. During the whole CIETAC Cup week, the top law students from all over China meet to present their sales contract arguments in a simulation of arbitration hearing.
