Students Zhao Min, Liu Qianning, Que Linyao, Liu Renhao, Tian Yu and Meng Fanqin will represent the China-EU School of Law at the Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot 2017. The team will compete with over 100 university teams from around the world. The finals will take place in Hong Kong from 27 March to 2 April 2017. In preparation for this, the six students will participate in pre-moots, such as the one sponsored by CIETAC, and in practice rounds with several law firms in Beijing.
The Vis International Commercial Arbitration programme is a challenging mock trial competition which prepares students to represent clients before international arbitration tribunals. It develops oral English skills as well as critical thinking and writing skills. In 2017, the China-EU School of Law competes for the third year. Coaches are Professor Susan Gale Wintermuth and Assistant Professor Monika Prusinowska.
