Dang Xiao, Gao Shang, Li Ang, Li Qingchuan, Wang Hao, and Zou Yan, six China-EU School of Law (CESL) master’s students, will study at Lund University from 27 April to 4 June 2017. Lund University is located in the quiet city of Lund in the south of Sweden. The rich cultural atmosphere of Lund attracted these six students.
Students will attend the courses ‘Human Rights and Culture Diversity’, 'Migration Law’ and ’Business and Human Rights’ from the master’s programme in International Human Rights Law, studying with other students at the Faculty of Law. Classes in Lund are small thus students have much better opportunities to participate in the courses and improve their English language skills as well as their academic ability.
"Professors, teachers and staffs of Lund University are very kind,” CESL students said after the first couple of days. The master’s programme coordinator Anders Trojer introduced academic policies to the students. The librarians explained the library system to the students, and tried to help the students to find lecture materials. Prof. Bengt Lundell and his wife Prof. Zhang Yali also assisted the students with the challenges posed by studying and living in another country for the first time.
Lund University has a history of over 350 years. It is one of the top 100 universities worldwide, according to several university rankings.“We regard this as a great opportunity to study at Lund University,” students said. “We feel very honored and hope to learn a lot from the excellent professors in Lund.”
