András Kisfaludi

Professor of Civil Law at Eötvös Loránd University


Prof. András Kisfaludi began teaching Civil Law at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary, in 1986 and became a Professor of Civil Law in 2006. He is also Vice-Rector for General Affairs at the University. András is an Arbitrator and member of the Managing Board at the Permanent Arbitration Court attached to the Hungarian Chamber of Trade and Industry and an Arbitrator at the Energy Arbitration Court. He studied law at Eötvös Loránd University and Queen Mary University of London. After his bar exam in 1984, he qualified as a lawyer specialised in International Trade Law in 1991. András received his PhD in 1994. He was a Clerk and Judge at the Central Municipal Court of Pest from 1982 to 1986 and a partner at the law firm Békés - Németh – Vékás & Partners from 1987 to 2002. At the China-EU School of Law, he taught the course “European Company Law”.
