Stuart MacLennan

PhD Researcher at Trinity College Dublin


Stuart MacLennan returned to the China-EU School of Law in 2015, having been appointed Assistant Professor in 2014. He teaches on the Public International Law and European Union Law modules. Stuart is an Arthur Cox Research Scholar at Trinity College Dublin, where he is completing a PhD in International Taxation Law. He teaches European Union Law and Contract Law at Trinity College and has previously taught Competition Law. Prior to commencing his PhD at Trinity College, Stuart was a researcher in the Scottish Parliament, specialising in Europe, External Affairs and the Constitution. He studied at the University of Edinburgh (LL.B.) and Glasgow Graduate School of Law at the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde (LL.M.), and completed his solicitor qualification (Dip.L.P.) at the University of Edinburgh. Stuart’s research interests fall primarily within the fields of International Taxation Law, UK domestic Taxation Law and EU Law.
