Chinese prosecutors learn about cybercrime in Europe

On 24 November 2016, 93 Chinese prosecutors participated in a training organised by the China-EU School of Law and the National Prosecutors College in Beijing on the topic of cybercrime. The training was taught by Dirk Jan Laman, Public prosecutor at the National Prosecutors Office in Rotterdam with expertise in High-Tech crime and Gea Wind from the Dutch national police cyber team.  Prosecutor Laman gave a thorough overview of the fight against cybercrime in Europe using new and innovative techniques, especially technical aspects of cyber-fraud. Cyber Liaison Officer, Gea Wind, who liaises between the National Police of the Netherlands, Europol and countries outside of the European Union, addressed the investigation and international cooperation at police level.
