Passionate athletes: CESL students fight at the 41st CUPL Track Meet

The China-EU School of Law’s students competed in the 41stCUPL Track Meet on 23 and 24 April 2016. The students began action at 8 a.m. on the sports field while the sun was shining.

At the opening, the flag guard and athletes marched together into the sports field to the sound of music. CESL’s team was in third place fully demonstrating the vitality and energy of a disciplined team.

After a solemn flag-raising ceremony, the China University of Political Science and Law’s Vice-President Feng Shiyong made an opening speech, wishing the athletes success. Subsequently, President Huang Jin announced the official start of the track meet.

“An eagle belongs to the sky, water belongs to the sea, while our athletes belong to the grass”, student Wang Hao said. “To achieve good results, the athletes went through a painful experience.”

Both days of the competition, the students participated in the event actively. The student union provided assistance with logistics.

Every athlete achieved good results and earned respect, showing physical fitness as well as a strong will to overcome difficulties.Yao Qihui received the runner-up in the shot put and the third place in the javelin throw. “This track meet notably build up team spirit”, Wang Hao summed up the event in the end.
