SONG Yunfu studied abroad in Morocco at the age of 19, and then pursued his education in the US and France, and achieved a Certificate of the United Nations Language Proficiency in the languages of English and French. He studied abroad, aided foreign countries and worked for over 20 years. In 40 years of rich international work experience, he had been in the WHO for 14 years.
Publications: 2011, the first domestic monograph Being an International Civil Servant. 2016, textbook International Civil Servants and International Organizations. 2017, co-authored New Civil Servants' Foreign Affairs Etiquette. 2019, Quality Construction and Job-hunting Guideline of International Civil Servants. 2020, Global Governance, Patriotism, The Growth of International Civil Servants.
He presents the abilities and qualities an international civil servant should possess from his perspective and personal experience, urging the younger generation to go to the front stage of the world with a global view. He has given more than 300 lectures to government departments and universities, and has been hired by 21 universities as a tutor, counselor, and visiting professor of talent training for international organizations.
Brief Introduction of the Lecture:
The United Nations was founded 75 years ago. China is one of founding countries of the United Nations and the second largest contributor to the United Nations as well. But so far, our country is underrepresented. It is urgent to push professional and outstanding talents to international organizations. Besides, our country encourages and supports college students to take internships in international organizations. In addition to introducing the basic information of international organizations, the lecture will focus on the management of international civil servants, job classification, entry requirements, application channels and benefits. Moreover, speaker SONG will present the core values and abilities of international officers, job hunting strategies, test-taking skills and so forth from his perspective and personal experience.
