On the evening of May 26, 2022, the second orientation meeting for 2021 double masters of China-EU School of Law to study in Europe was held online. This training was given by Chen Junwen and Feng Yihan, Master of European and International Law students from the 2021 intake who went to Hamburg, Germany for exchange study this spring. The two students made a detailed introduction of the process, from visa applications and pre-trip preparations to living in Germany. The orientation meeting was presided over by MA Anna, Director of the Teaching Administrative Office of China-EU School of Law. More than 70 students from the 2021 double master's intake who plan to study abroad participated in the training.
Feng Yihan introduced the APS procedures, visa processing, selection of insurance, air ticket bookings and leasing of accommodation. She mainly shared her experiences in finding an apartment, provided information for renting a room, and put forward detailed suggestions on student dormitory applications, luggage preparations before departure, etc.
Chen Junwen suggested that students could rent an apartment in the Altona area, which is not very far to the main campus of the Hamburg University and has decent facilities. At the same time, she introduced in detail the German Anmelden, bank card, telephone card and other related content. She reminded everyone to understand German epidemic prevention and vaccination policies in advance.
During the Q&A session, the students actively asked questions about the insurance options, living costs, visa materials in Germany, etc. These two students answered patiently and wished the students a smooth start to their trip to Germany. The orientation meeting was successfully completed.
