Workshop: China-EU trade relations under the current WTO legal framework

On 12 December 2018, researchers and practitioners shared their views on challenges and perspectives of China-EU trade relations under the current WTO legal framework. The workshop was part of the China-EU School of Law funded research grant of Prof. Yenkong Hodu, from Manchester University and organised in collaboration with Manchester International Law Centre (MILC), University of Manchester School of Law and the Shanghai Society of WTO Law. During the workshop, which was held in Beijing, researchers and practitioners discussed topics such as settling WTO disputes between market and non-market economies and public-private enterprises and transnational trade rules. This workshop also highlighted the dichotomy surrounding the issue of state trading enterprises and normativity in the global trading system.
