International student record in the “Chinese Law Taught in English” programme

The China-EU School of Law welcomes its 99th CLTE student

The number of international students in the “Chinese Law Taught in English” programme has increased. Twenty-two European students enrolled in the one-semester programme at the China-EU School of Law in Beijing for the 2017-18 Winter Semester. These are more than ever before. They come from five universities from Germany, France, Ireland and Poland. In total, 99 international students have participated in the “Chinese Law Taught in English” programme since its inception in 2011. Chinese law professors expose students to insights into the most important aspects of Chinese law in seven courses, such as “Chinese Business Law” and “Chinese Criminal Justice”. Most students come from one of the China-EU School of Law’s 13 European partner universities. In class, they study together with Chinese students from the double masters’ programme. In cooperation with the China University of Political Science and Law’s International Education School, they are offered opportunities to learn Chinese on the Changping campus.

At an orientation meeting for international students, Assistant Professor Monika Prusinowska, the first Polish LL.M. graduate from Tsinghua University, shared some tips with the European students for academic and student life in Beijing.
