CESL students study elective courses at Vienna University of Economics and Business

From 19 April to 18 June 2016, four of the China-EU School of Law’s students will take master’s courses at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (“Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien” or WU) in Austria as part of their LL.M. studies. Li Meitong, Zhang Yan, Lu Danyun and Huang Tingli participate in the Master of Business Law programme and study “International Aspects of U.S. Tax Law”, "Transfer Pricing in International Companies – Selected Issues with Case Studies”, and "Simulated Tax Treaty Negotiations with the Netherlands”.

They started their studies with a lecture on “Transfer Pricing” by Professor Alfred Stork who explained the schedule and requirement of this course to the students. Before, programme coordinator Ms. Ina Matt had provided them with information for studying at WU and life in Austria.

Vienna University of Economics and Business, which was founded more than a 100 years ago in 1898, is the largest university focusing on business and economics in Europe. It was ranked as one of the top 50 European business schools by the Financial Times in 2014. The university moved to a new campus design by architects from Europe and Japan in 2013, close to the Vienna fair ground. The Library and Learning Center, a landmark building in the architecture of the campus buildings, was planned by star architectZaha Hadid. “This campus is full of modern art and atmosphere”, student Zhang Yan said after her arrival.

"I am looking forward to this new study life in Austria”, student Lu Danyun added. “I very much appreciate to be taught by such honorable professors and to communicate with students from other countries.”
