She was the first Polish student completing the “Chinese Law” master’s programme at Tsinghua University. Afterwards, she gained experience working as a lawyer at the Beijing office of Yingke Law Firm and advising the Embassy of Poland to China on trade and investment. Today, Monika Prusinowska is an Assistant Professor at the China-EU School of Law and conducts her PhD research. For its latest issue, Lawyr.it legal journal interviewed Monika Prusinowska on teaching at the first Sino-European Law School in China and her research on Chinese arbitration. "Every now and again I happen to meet our graduates during important legal conferences and other events. A few more years ahead and I guess – I will be listening to one of them being a speaker. That’s what I hope”, Monika Prusinowska says in the interview. She also tells about working life in China. “Chinese law firms have, in general, the shorter tradition of existence and thus, there is a greater mobility of the lawyers between the law firms.”
